CONCEPT

“TYPE 110” is a reinterpretation of one of Triumph’s forgotten icons —the 1960 Triumph Tiger 110.A classic no longer in production, yet one that still carries a powerful and unmistakable design language.Rather than replicating the past, we chose to decode the essence of the Tiger 11 and translate it onto the 2016 Triumph Street Twin,Triumph’s first model of the liquid-cooled era.

The goal of TYPE 110 is not to create a retro motorcycle.Instead, it is an effort to reimagine form and proportion into something cleaner and more contemporary, while preserving the DNA of the Tiger 110 in its entirety. These elements come together through a Street Tracker approach, where sportiness, classic character, and aggression coexist within a single silhouette.

Every body component has been newly designed under a plug-and-play concept. Each part is engineered to fit directly onto the original motorcycle without cutting, modifying, or altering the rear frame in any way. This approach allows TYPE 110 to dramatically transform the look and proportions of the Street Twin, while retaining the original structure and factory functionality. It reshapes the motorcycle’s character without compromising the integrity of its platform.

DESIGN

The design language of TYPE 110 emerges from a reinterpretation of the Triumph Tiger 110 through what we define as the Crafton Design Language.Rather than copying the past we extracted the essential lines and proportions, then refined, rebalanced, and repositioned them to suit the context of a modern motorcycle.

HEADLIGHT

One of the first defining features of TYPE 110 is its completely redesigned classic headlight housing. The smooth, flowing lines of the headlight shell are shaped to visually connect with the upper triple clamp, creating a seamless transition at the front of the motorcycle. At the same time, it retains compatibility with the original speedometer, headlight lens, and the stock ignition position, including full steering lock functionality. The result is a front end with a distinctly new identity, while preserving 100% of the motorcycle’s original functions, despite its dramatically transformed appearance.

SEAT

The seat of TYPE 110 has been redesigned to correct the original proportions of the Street Twin, which tend to appear long and visually heavy at the rear.By reshaping the lines rather than altering the frame,we achieved a shorter, tighter silhouette with a subtle upward tail, inspired by vintage Triumph forms — without modifying the rear frame in any way.The upper section features a newly developed woven-pattern leather, exclusive to Crafton, delivering a rugged yet refined vintage feel.Vertical stitching aligns with the tank rib and fender spine, while the sides are finished in Nero leather to introduce contrast and visual depth.

FRONT-REAR FENDER

Both front and rear fenders have been redesigned to appear shorter and more compact, each defined by a central spine that runs through the motorcycle. This line begins at the front fender, continues across the fuel tank, and concludes at the rear fender, where a compact LED taillight is seamlessly integrated. The result is a continuous, uninterrupted flow of form with no visible breaks.

TANK & DECALS

The fuel tank of TYPE 110 is finished in Nogaro Blue,an iconic color originally introduced on the Audi RS2.It evokes a distinctly sporty yet classic atmosphere, deeply rooted in the automotive culture of the 1980s and 1990s.

A vintage-inspired central tank rib reinforces the connection between the front and rear fender spines, establishing visual continuity across the entire motorcycle.

The tank is accented with TYPE 110 Sport Line Decals in silver, designed exclusively by Crafton.Their form is inspired by the vintage Triumph tank badge, reduced and refined into a cleaner, more contemporary expression, while retaining the signature pointed ends. The decal line extends from the tank down toward the frame, outlined with a fine red accent to add depth and definition, creating a new and unmistakable character line for the motorcycle.

SIDE COVER

The side covers have been redesigned with a sportier, more contemporary profile. On the right side, an integrated air scoop aligns precisely with the airbox intake, improving airflow while adding a functional layer to the overall design.
